More than seven tons of garbage collected in Daanbantayan, Lapu

About 7.6 tons of garbage were collected in a clean-up drive by a non-government organization (NGO) in Malapascua Island in Daanbantayan town, northern Cebu.

Axelle Jorcin, executive director of People and the Sea, said 350 volunteers took part in the cleanup. He said they also collected a truckful of garbage in a cleanup drive in Lapu-Lapu City.
