One hurt, 10 houses destroyed by fire in Tejero
TEN houses were destroyed in a fire that hit Sitio Agay-ay in Barangay Tejero, Cebu City at past 2 pm Wednesday, May 9.
Senior Fire Officer Romeo Birao of the Cebu City Fire Station said the fire started at the house of a certain Willy Brigoli who neglected to attend to his cooking. The fire was placed under control at past 3 pm.
A certain Roy Coronado, a traffic officer and resident of the area was rushed to the Cebu Community Hospital after he was electrocuted while trying to put out the fire. His brother, Joel Coronado, said the victim is now recuperating.
Damages were pegged at P100,000.
