The Cebu City-Casino Ethyl Alcohol has finally settled on who its players for the upcoming season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) will be, leaning on a mix of grizzled veterans from the professional ranks and hungry up-and-coming players from the region.

According to Omega Pro Sports International’s (OPSI) Vice President and team spokesman, Jerome Calatrava, Casino Ethyl Alcohol has already signed up 11 of their 18-man roster after their practice session on Saturday.

Already locked up for the new MPBL season that begins on June 12 are former two-time Cesafi MVP Enrico Llanto and former Cesafi Mythical Five awardees, John Abad and Kevin Villafranca.

Also on board are guards Harold Cincoflores and Alfred Codilla, wingmen Ian Ortega, Iron Suano and Victor Nunez, forwards JR Puerto and Rhaffy Octobre and big man William McCaloney.

Among those who have yet to sign are point guard John Lloyd Luz, two-guard Franz Arong and power forward, Bernie Bregondo.

The team’s ex-pros, namely Cesar Catli, Jondan Salvador and Eric Rodriguez will sign once they arrive in Cebu later this week.

Casino Ethyl Alcohol is pegged by head coach Gilbert Castillo to practice for a few more weeks here before moving their training camp to Manila in preparation for the MPBL season.
