The Praise Cathedral Nets continued to rally behind former Letran star guard Franz Dysam as they stunned the reigning champions Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service (Aces), 55-53, in the 34-under division of the 2014 Fellowship of Christian Athletes basketball tournament last weekend at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue in Cebu City.

Dysam was the lone double-figure scorer for the Nets but his 21 points was enough to topple the Aces.

Roy Vicente and Manolet Subang were the high-point men for the Aces with 13 points each.

In other games in the same class, former Cebu Institute of Technology-University point guard Axel Rabaya towed the Faith Eagles to a 58-54 win over Living Word Talisay with 22 points.

Leo Labiste and Elver Labriaga chipped in 13 and 10 markers, respectively.

BHCF also got away with a 56-50 win over Nissi Academy while the Christ’s Commission Fellowship routed the Cross Pointe, 63-41. CFGA slipped past Mt. Olives, 79-76, behind the 15 points and Adelfo Delgado and the 11 of Ernesto Limitares.

In the 35-above division, the Living Word-International Bible Institute kept their unblemished record intact as they cruised past MCOF, 84-70.  while HOH clobbered R12 Coaches, 76-67.
