Bulldogs off to hot start in Bayugan Invitational basketball tournament

The Madyaw Construction/ National University Bulldogs crushed the Green Builders/Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, 93-60, in the first game of the 8th Mayor Kim Lope A. Asis Invitational Basketball Tournament on Tuesday night at the Lope Asis Memorial Gymnasium in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

Tzaddy Rangel scored 10 for the Bulldogs while former Ateneo de Cebu player Adven Jess Diputado added nine.

Red Louis Cachuela had 15 for the losing squad from Cagayan de Oro.

Cebu teams Mair Construction/Southwestern University (SWU)-Phinma Cobras and the Phoenix Petroleum/University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters are competing in this tournament.

UC was playing against the Vincare Pharma-University Sto. Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers at press time.
