What's Up!

January a busy month for Jollibee

Jollibee team joins Sinulog parade

WHAT’S the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear about Jollibee? Perhaps, it’s the large bee mascot in red suit and chef’s hat. Maybe it’s the crispy Chicken Joy that everyone’s talking about. It can be the fun it brings to all. Or the whole package!

Indeed, every day is a fun-filled day in Jollibee, and it’s more fun in this all-time favorite fast food restaurant of most locals and tourists alike when the Sinulog festival was celebrated in Cebu last month.

Jollibee welcomed this year’s Sinulog celebration with a month-long program. Starting with a Jollitown Caravan last Jan. 11 to 12 and Jan. 18, the whole Jollitown cast including Hetty, Yum, Twirlie, Popo and Jollibee visited Jollibee stores in Mango, 138 Mall, Colon, SM City Upper, Ayala, Escario and Parkmall. They surprised everyone with games and raffle.

In the previous month, Jollibee also launched its JKC Happy Plus card. And in partnership with the Cebu City Government, it also provided ‘Langhap Sarap’ food and entertainment through Jollitown performances during opening of the Devotee City.

The fun didn’t end there as Jollibee also had a Sinulog Photo contest with two categories –family and selfie. It collected entries from Jan. 10 to 27. The awarding was held last Jan. 29 at Jollibee Parkmall.

An exhibit showcasing the winning entries for Jollibee’s photo contest was at Jollibee Parkmall last Jan. 29 to Feb 2.

Winners of the family photo contest are: Windell Paclibar (1st and 2nd places) and Eric Saguin (3rd place). The best selfie photo winners are: Jolemie Allin (1st place), Windell Paclibar (2nd place) and Joan Coma (3rd place).

Lastly, one of the highlights of Jollibee’s calendar of events last month is the Sinulog Grand Parade. The streets were filled with fun and excitement as Jollitown friends Hetty, Yum, Twirlie, Popo and Jollibee participated in the festivity. Some families, especially the kids, got the chance to take photos with them. Jollibee sponsored for the “Tribu Kaplag Buwad Festival.”
