The personal driver of Guihulngan Vice Mayor Ernesto Reyes was shot down by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants at a gasoline station in R. Villegas Street in Barangay Poblacion, Guihulngnan City, Negros Oriental at 3 am Wednesday.
Supt. Mario Baqiuran, Guihulngan police chief, said the 41-year-old victim named Leonidas Dausan of Barangay Buenavista sustained gunshot wounds on his back and was rushed to a nearby hospital but he failed to make it.
Baquiran said a certain Eric Dela Torre of Barangay Tinayunan Hill was hit by a stray bullet. The victim had a loaded pistol in his sling bag.
