Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) Weather Specialist Joey Figuracion said Cebu will not be affected by the looming typhoon Maria.

Cebu, however, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms starting Monday.

The typhoon will be named Gardo once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Figuracion said the weather disturbance, which is expected to enter PAR on Monday, will traverse through northern Luzon towards Taiwan. (Jessa)
