AIRPORT personnel have returned P1.5 million in cash to a local passenger, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said on Wednesday.

In an advisory, the CAAP said Danilo Dequito left his bag at the arrival’s section of the Puerto Princesa International Airport on Tuesday morning.

Airport authorities inspected the blue bag and found P1.5 million inside a brown envelope.

Upon verification of the Dequito’s identity, authorities contacted him for baggage retrieval.

Dequito went back to the Puerto Princesa International Airport to collect his bag on the same day.
