Rallos was not involved in illegal drugs – family

THE family of Baby Earl Rallos, the slain assistant operations officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7), questions the discovery of shabu inside his service vehicle.

One of his children, who asked not to be named, said that the discovery of shabu was not included in the inventory of items which they received from the police on the same day that Rallos was shot dead by two still unidentified suspects on July 27.

“Nakuha namo ang inventory report sa SOCO (at) 9:37 p.m. (of the day that he was killed). If I’m not mistaken, walay nakabutang nga adunay shabu nga nakuha (the report did not mention the discovery of packs of shabu),” said one of Rallos’ children.

Personnel from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) claimed to have found two medium packs of suspected shabu from inside the glove compartment of Rallos’ car.

If the discovery of shabu was indeed true, Rallos children question why they were not given a full copy of the police report.

“Pwede ba gud na nga magbuhat ka ug report ug pipila ka oras iapas nimo ang laing nakuha. Ibutang mana tanan dili i-anam anam (Is that possible for the police to make a report and update the said report later on. You do not make a report by installment),” said one of Rallos children.

But they clarified that they are not insinuating that the shabu was planted.

They only wanted to clarify that their father did not own the drugs.

Family members who spoke to Cebu Daily News said they decided to keep mum on the issue for a few days to allow the police to complete their investigation.

But they could not help but feel dismayed with insinuations on Rallos’ alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

They were also alarmed by reports on the attempted ambush of Tejero Councilor Jessielou Cadungog on Monday morning.

“In terms of investigation, medyo wala na mi kahibalo asa namo ibutang among pagsalig ilabi na sa nahitabo sa Barangay Tejero (where we no longer know who to trust following the incident in Barangay Tejero),” they said.
