A 21-year-old tricycle driver is in critical condition after he was shot several times at past 6 p.m. on Friday by two men on a motorcycle at Barangay Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City.

Aliwdin Ali Amin, a resident of St. Michael Village in Barangay Pajac, was rushed to the Mactan Doctors Hospital after he sustained gunshot wounds in the body.

Initial investigation conducted by Mactan Police Station led by PO2 Alfredo Macabudbud showed that the victim was driving a tricycle when the backrider of a motorcycle following him pulled out a gun and shot him three times in the body.

The wounded victim was able to get off his tricycle run and ask for help from passersby.

He was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted and treated for his wounds.

Witnesses told police that they saw two motorcycles with backriders sped off after the shooting.

The motorcycle drivers and the backriders were all wearing full face helmets.

Police later recovered three spent cartridges of a 9 mm pistol at the crime scene.
