Two cousins were arrested after they were caught with an estimated P68,000 worth of suspected shabu during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City on Wednesday.

Anthony Jugarat, 23, and Jenelyn Alcuizar, 27, who are cousins residing in Sitio Panaghiusa, Barangay Duljo-Fatima, were handcuffed after they tried to sell suspected shabu to an undercover police officer during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Panaghiusa, said Chief Insp. Randy Caballes, Mambaling Police Precinct chief, in a phone interview.

Caballes, who led the Drug Enforcement Unit in the operation, said that they conducted the buy-bust operation at past 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

He said that they confiscated three sachets of suspected shabu from Alcuizar and 10 sachets and a medium pack of suspected shabu from Jugarat.

The confiscated suspected illegal drugs had an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P68,240.

The two cousins were detained at the Mambaling Police Precinct detention cell pending the filing of charges.
