A wife was shot dead by her husband at Don Sergio St, barangay Canduman, in Mandaue City, Thursday evening.
The 50-year-old victim was identified as Degelia Dimpas, a resident of Purok Mangga, Tayud in Liloan town, Cebu and a junkfood factory employee in Canduman. Her husband Luis Dimpas fled their home and is now at large.
The victim’s niece Ronielyn Bulos said she was with the victim when the suspect suddenly appeared asking money from Degelia. The victim refused to give him money and ran away but Luis shot Degelia several times, leading to her death.
Mandaue police have yet to corner the suspect.
