Powerfloor stays undefeated in Davies Paints Cup cagefest

POWERFLOOR kept its record clean as it defeated Mondo Skimcoat, 90-77, in the battle of unbeaten in the Architects + Engineers Basketball Club 2018 Davies Paints Cup last Saturday at the University of San Carlos gym.

The undermanned Mondo led for most of the way until Powerfloor asserted itself in the fourth, where it outscored its opponents, 28-15, to come away with its third win in a row.

Former Cesafi all star Jose Pono led Powerfloor with 28 points and seven assists while Ayi Armenion and Lawrence Gayotin had 15 markers each.

Samboi Parcon led Mondo with 24 points and 18 boards but it wasn’t enough as Mondo dropped to 2-1 (win-loss).

In the other game of the night, Liquid-Tile bested Sun & Rain, 80-72, to improve to 2-1.

Lemuel Aspacio sparked the victory by scoring 28 points while Ralph Catugas and Michael Cinco pitched in 16 and 15 points,

respectively, the former adding seven rebounds, six assists and four steals.
