Mandaue centenarian gets cash aid for practicing healthy lifestyle

CEBU CITY, Philippines -Regina Colina turned 100-years-old on September 7, 2018.

On Wednesday, Colina received a P200,000 cash assistance from Mandaue City Mayor Gabriel Luis Quisumbing after having been recognized as one of city’s centenarians.

Quisumbing visited Colina’s home in Barangay Subangdaku on Wednesday morning to personally hand the cash assistance to her.

Of the amount, P100,000 came from the Mandaue City government while the remaining P100,000 is from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

A post on Good News Mandaue’s Facebook page said that the cash assistance is in recognition of Colina’s “healthy lifestyle.”

The FB post added that Colina is set to receive another P50,000 cash from the Cebu Provincial Government.
