TNT and San Miguel pulled off a stunning trade to start the workweek, as the KaTropa traded disgruntled star guard Terrence Romeo to the Beermen’s camp in exchange for Cebuano guard Brian Heruela, David Semerad and first round draft picks in 2019 and 2021.

Romeo, himself a Cebuano who traces his roots to the town of Boljoon, has reportedly been AWOL of late, prompting TNT to ship out the three-time scoring champion to San Miguel.

The trade, should it get the PBA Commissioner’s Office approval, will be a welcome development for Heruela, the talented University of Cebu product, who has not had ample opportunities to showcase his skill owing to the backcourt depth of San Miguel.

The players have already been notified of this trade and the official papers have already been sent to the league office in Libis for evaluation.
