The Abaca Group partners with Phat Pho

Phat Pho takes inspiration from traditional street-style noodle shops.

IF the numerous awards are not enough proof to the exceptional quality of The Abaca Group’s establishments, the sheer volume of returning patrons to their restaurants should do the trick. After barely a year of operation, The Abaca Group’s über-popular Vietnamese kitchen, PHAT Pho, will be opening two new branches—one more in Cebu and one in Manila—simply out of demand.

PHAT Pho in the premium Serendra complex, in Bonifacio Global City, will be The Abaca Group’s first brand outside of Cebu, already due to open on the second week of February.

In collaboration with The Moment Group, who has brought about some of Manila’s newest and most sought-after dining experiences like ‘Cue Modern Barbecue, NamNam Comfort Filipino, Burger Bar and its newly minted neighborhood spin-off 8Cuts Burger Blends to the table, the PHAT Pho in Serendra will be a 60-seater, splitting image of the chic Vietnamese hawker stall-inspired restaurant, eager to cater to the discerning Manila crowd. “The reason we brought Phat Pho to Manila is because we couldn’t resist not having a cool noodle shop like it in our own backyard.

It serves up real and honest fare that everyone can enjoy. Not to mention it is absolutely delicious. Phat Pho adds variety to the bustling dining scene in Metro Manila. And that is what we ourselves have always strived to achieve with our own establishments.” says, Abba Napa, Moment Group Partner.

The Cebuano and Cebu-based fans however, will also be delighted with the opening of another PHAT Pho in March, in the Robinson’s Cybergate mall along the Fuente-Osmeña circle. This 30-seater restaurant will be fulfilling a need for more PHAT Pho patrons to satisfy that pho fix, when the flagship restaurant in Crossroads mall in Banilad is full, as it always is.

“The great thing about PHAT Pho is that it’s very approachable to all groups. It’s not expensive, and the space is not intimidating at all,” affirmed Jason Hyatt, The Abaca Group owner.

With The Abaca Group’s dedication to sophisticated interiors, unyielding service, and consistent grade-A flavor, it will not be too long before they serve up another project packed with a savory style that is all their own and which everyone will be lining up to experience.
