Cebu City, Philippines — The young cagers of Mandaue City exacted revenge on Cordova in the fiercest of ways, as they blew away Cordova, 104-75, in the 2019 Governor’s Cup basketball tournament on Friday night, March 22, 2019, at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.

Playing with pride and renewed focus, Mandaue City was able to get one back on Cordova, which upset them, 88-89, last week.

Mandaue City and Cordova now hold identical 1-2 win-loss records in the 6th District.

In other games on Friday evening, Ginatilan defeated Malabuyoc, 84-81, for its first win in three games in the 7th District B.

Elsewhere, Tuburan handed Balamban its first loss of the competition with an 86-73 thrashing in 3rd District action, while Samboan defeated Oslob, 86-82, to boost its record to 3-1. /bmjo
