Ex-Letran cager Alcaraz leads Mighty Technologians to victory

Cebu City, Philippines — Former Letran Knights guard JP Alcaraz collected a double-double to carry the Mighty Technologians past South Bridge, 89-79, in the Barangay Labangon Basketball Association 1st Conference 2019 on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at the Labangon Gym.
Alcaraz was unstoppable, putting up 37 points and hauling down 14 rebounds to help the Technologians rally from an early double-digit deficit.
A huge 30-14 blast sealed the victory, the Technologians’ fourth in six games while dropping South Bridge to 1-5.
Edward Cuyno helped Alcaraz out with 19 points while Elmer Pino added 11 markers.
In the evening’s other game, SportsOne Apparel triumphed over Trangia Sportswear, 89-74, to grab the solo lead in the standings.
Lemuel Paguntalan paced SportsOne with 26 points while Richard Tabolong contributed 16 to push SportsOne to a 5-1 record.
Trangia remained without a win in six matches. /bmjo
