Senatorial candidate Bong Revilla joins One Cebu campaign kickoff

ARGAO, CEBU, Philippines — Senatorial candidate Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr.  joined One Cebu Party’s campaign kickoff in southern Cebu on March 29, Friday.

Revilla was first spotted by Cebu Daily News Digital during a Holy Mass held at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Saint Michael Archangel in Argao, southern Cebu.

The actor-turned-politician joined the first hand raising of One Cebu Party’s Cebu Third District Representative and Gubernatorial candidate Gwendolyn Garcia and vice Gubernatorial candidate Daphne Salimbangon with Argao town allies.

Revilla was wearing a blue shirt during the campaign kick-off.

He  braved the heat and was on board on a blue pickup vehicle where he had the chance to wave to his supporters. 

As he disembarked from the vehicle, supporters would ask to have selfies and shook hands with Revilla.

In 2014, the Sandiganbayan ordered the arrest of Revilla for plunder related to the P10-billion pork barrel scam.

Last December 2018, Revilla was acquitted by the Sandiganbayan from the plunder cases./dbs
