Cebu City, Philippines — After 14 years, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Cebu Chapter has been awarded again as the Most Outstanding Chapter in Category A.

The award was given during the 17th National Convention of Lawyers last March 28, 2019 at the Iloilo Convention Center.  Atty. Mundlyn Martin, the former president of the IBP-Cebu Chapter, received the award.

This award is given after every term of the board of officers.

According to Martin, the award is based on the reports that were given by the outgoing president of each chapter to the IBP National office.

Martin said in an interview with Cebu Daily News Digital they are the only recipient of the award in Region 7.

Those who belong in Category A are the chapters with 500 members or more.

“What made IBP Cebu chapter unique is that we were focused on the projects that would benefit all our members or our projects are more on membership based” she said.

Martin also wishes the new president of IBP Cebu chapter Atty. Ria Lydia Espina more projects during her term. /bmjo
