THE BORACAY Rum Waves halted their two-game slide and extended National University-BDO’s own losing streak with a 73-63 win in the PBA D-League Aspirant’s Cup yesterday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Highly-touted guard Chris Banchero combined with Mark Belo towed the Waves to their second win in four games.
Banchero had 20 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals while Belo, a standout from Far Eastern University, added the same number of points and six boards.
NU-BDO, which suffered its third loss in a row, was led by the 11 points of Bobby Ray Parks.
Meanwhile, the Jumbo Plastic Giants improved to 3-1 (win-loss) after beating the Zambales M-Builders, 80-62.
