CEBU CITY, Philippines—It’s no ordinary pre-nuptial shoot.

No gowns, no tuxedos.

Instead, the couple chose to be in simple garb to depict rural life.

For Cebuano couple, Wendy and Roger, a worthwhile pre-nup shoot means going all the way to Bohol to showcase the life in the mountains and rice fields.

The result is a Facebook album of 75 photos, which Beth Alojipan of Cebu- based photography studio, Wildfolks Studios, described as a “pre-wedding inspired by old Filipino paintings.”

The album description reads: “Wendy and Roger wanted something different for their pre wedding shoot. We all went to the mountains of Bohol for the rice terraces and it’s beautiful rivers. We truly admire how this duo relived some of the Filipino Culture.”

In an interview with CDN Digital, Alojipan said she was both excited and scared when the couple told her about the concept they have in mind.

The concept can be a logistical and wardrobe nightmare.

But the couple wanted to get away with the usual, formulaic, fancy pre-nup concepts.

“They just wanted to do the shoot at the rice terraces. The closest way to get there is from Candijay Bohol” explained Alojipan.

The album was uploaded on Friday, April 19, 2019.
