Tuburan takes lead in Bracket B of Governor’s Cup quarterfinals

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Tuburan ran its winning streak to three games after it put down Sogod, 90-81, in quarterfinal action of the 2019 Governor’s Cup basketball tournament over at the Alegria Sports Complex.

Romyr Gonzaga led Tuburan in scoring with 23 points while Joeid Maglasang added 22 of his own to give them their third win in as many games and take the solo lead in Bracket B.

Raindee Sipalay also put up solid numbers as he scored 18 points while Miguelito Jusay contributed 11 to push Tuburan to the victory and keep them on track for one of the two semifinal berths that are at stake in their bracket.

Sogod on the other hand, plunged to their fourth loss and remain winless in this stage of the competition./dcb
