Job hunting is undeniably a challenging experience and although technology and social media provide many tools to connect applicants to potential employers, a call for an appointment is not always guaranteed.
To address this issue, SM City Cebu together with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will hold a Job Fair at the Cebu Trade Hall of SM City Cebu on May 1 from 10AM to 5PM. This event will allow jobseekers to explore from various job opportunities, be interviewed by potential employers, and even get hired on the same day.
Participating employers will include SM tenants, local-based and overseas-based companies, business process outsourcing, service industries, among others.
Among the many basic needs that SM provides Filipinos is providing jobs. Aside from being home to over 300,000 employees and counting, the company also makes a conscious effort to help provide jobs to the growing Filipino workforce.
Job seekers must make sure to have several copies of their resumé, ID photos, Transcript of Record, and other pertinent documents which may be required by the employers. It is also advisable for job seekers to be in proper business attire to give the employers the best first impression and the possibility of landing a job on the spot.
