Cebu City, Philippines—The first batch of the Jax Basketball Camp concluded over the weekend with a closing ceremony at the City Sports Club-Cebu basketball court.

Named Most Valuable Players in their respective divisions were Rod Robins, Jireh Caro and Marco Flores.

The camp of former Southwestern University-Phinma guard Jacques Bautista is getting ready for the second stage of his camp, which is scheduled for May 27 to June 8.

Called the Verano x Jax Basketball Camp, the camp will be at the PAREF-Springdale gym in Lahug. The elementary group will have their sessions at 1 p.m. while the high school group follows at 2:30 p.m.

Assisting Bautista are coaches Mark Capacaba and Mike Reyes.

Bautista is encouraging interested parties to check out the camp, not just for the caliber of the coaches who are presiding over the camp but for the actual basketball experience that campers are expected to get. /bmjo
