In San Fernando, police nab three female minors for violating liquor ban

SAN FERNANDO, Cebu — Three female minors were taken into the custody of the San Fernando Police Station shortly before midnight on Sunday, May 12, for violating the election’s liquor ban.

The minors, a 13-year-old girl and two 15-year-old girls, were spotted by patrolling policemen while drinking liquor with a 23-year-old man in Barangay North Poblacion.

Police Major Lymel Pasquin, chief of San Fernando Police Station, said the minors will be turned over to the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare Services Office this morning, Monday, May 13.

The liquor ban imposed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) started on the midnight of May 12 and will last until midnight of election day, May 13. / celr
