CEBU CITY, Philippines–Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera has conceded his defeat in the race for a seat in the Cebu City Council.
“I may not have made it this time but I am already beyond grateful,” he said in a post on his Facebook account.
Garganera recalled that he spent 30 years of his life in public service, with three years serving as a city councilor in Cebu City – North District.
“It has been an opportunity and privilege of a lifetime,” he added.
According to Garganera, he has given his heart in everything that he did during his tree-year term.
“And I hope that, at the very least, I have made a difference in our city,” he said.
Garganera then thanked Cebu for the support that he received.
“This is not the end of the line. But if it is, it has been a great pleasure to have served you. God bless you all!” he said./dcb
