‘Pray more to God’

By: Ador Vincent S. Mayol November 16,2013 - 07:47 AM

WITH Cebu being battered by an earthquake and a supertyphoon, Cebu Archbishop Emeritus Ricardo Cardinal Vidal said he’s praying that the Lord will pardon the sins of people and spare the nation from another calamity.

His successor, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma urged the faithful to help and empathize with victims of calamities.

“It is when we collaborate that we become brothers and sisters to each other. In moments of difficulty and sadness, we’re telling the victims that they are not alone,” Palma said.

Margie Matheu of the archdiocese’s secretariat said anyone who wants to send relief goods may send their help to either the Cebu Caritas or directly to the Archbishop’s Residence along D. Jakosalem Street in Cebu City.
