CEBU CITY, Philippines— In every festival, the most awaited moment is the revealing of the beautiful festival queen of every school or participating barangay.

Aside from her beauty, her grace and poise are what people scrutinize before she can be crowned as the festival queen.

Dumanjug National High School’s Jollibean Dacay Bocobo added a bit more to that when she was crowned the Sinanggiyaw Festival Queen 2019.

Bocobo not only showed grace, poise and her beauty, she also showcased her impeccable bending skills.

Her photo made noise on social media after it was shared by Mel Russell Adlawan, 21, a teacher from Naga City.

Adlawan actually took a screenshot from her video of Bocobo doing a difficult stunt while dancing on the street during the Sinaggiyaw Festival in Dumanjug town, Cebu on October 4, 2019.

“I was really getting a video shot of the Street Dancing of our contingent during the “Sinanggiyaw Festival” in Dumanjug, Cebu. When I reviewed the video, I was amazed by how [Bocobo] bends. I got a screenshot of the bending part. I actually posted it on Facebook to brag how our festival queen can dance and bend gracefully, for she was already awarded as the “Sinanggiyaw Festival Queen 2019” during the event,” says Adlawan.

The photo quickly became viral. As of October 8, it has already garnered 884 comments, 4,300 reactions, and was shared 6,800 times.

Aside from bagging the festival queen award, Dumanjug National High School also took home the awards like, “Best in Street Dancing,” “Most Discipline Contingent,” and the “Grand Champion Sinanggiyaw Festival 2019.” /bmjo
