Six dead in truck accident in Carcar City

Six were killed in a vehicular accident in barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City at 12 noon.
A truck from Mantalungon, Barili town carrying livestock and 30 passengers lost its brakes while maneuvering a downhill blind curve in sitio Mabugnaw.
One of the passengers interviewed over radio said they were bound to Argao town to sell the cows they bought in Mantalungon, Barili town.
He said he heard the driver said the vehicle lost its brakes. The truck later rammed into a concrete fence before hitting the house of Zacharias Barcenas.
The truck fell on its side along with the cows and the passengers. Some died on the spot while those severely injured were brought to Carcar Provincial Hospital.
