A MAN suspected to be involved in selling illegal drugs and his companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation in barangay barangay Pung-ol Sibugay, Cebu City last Wednesday night.
Several packs of suspected shabu worth at least P50,000 were seized from Rolando Migabon, 34, and Lito Lopez, 38.
Senior Insp. Avegonzado, chief of the City Anti-Illegal Drgus Special Operation Task Force, said police believe the seized illegal drugs were supposed to be sold in barangay Pulangbato, a place known to have active drug activities.
“Kung wa pa nato ni madakpi ang subject, daghan jud nga pushers nng makagamit atong drugasa (Had we not arrested the subject, those drugs could have landed in the hands of several drug pushers),” said Avegonzado.
The police official said the two suspects were placed under surveillance for three weeks before they were arrested.
Police said it was Migabon who sold a pack shabu to a policeman who posed as a buyer.
Police operatives also arrested Lopez after four packs of suspected shabu were seized from his possession.
