CEBU CITY, Philippines – The board of directors from the Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) has elected a new set of officers on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Former Cebu City Councilor and lawyer Jose Daluz III was elected as the board’s chairperson while lawyer Frank Malilong was named as the new vice-chairperson.

Miguelito Pato will sit as the board’s secretary.

The election and its results happened just a couple of minutes after Daluz, Malilong, and Pato, all of whom are newly appointed board members of MCWD, officially took their oath before Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella.

The oathtaking also marked the confirmation of the three new board members’ appointments by the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA).
