Nino Surban continued to show his strength prior to the Philippine series of the 2014 Asean Mountainbike Cup in Danao City, Cebu on June 13 to 15 as the pride of Talamban, Cebu landed in 13th place yesterday in the Fujimi Panorama Japan Series XCO3 mountainbike in Nagano, Japan.
It was the second Japan race for Surban, who recently kept his spot in the Philippine National Mountainbike Team after snaring a gold medal in the Cross Country race in the recent Philippine National Games. Surban also recently joined the Yawatahama International XCO race.
With his recent victory, Surban cemented his position as the anchorman of the national team come the 2014 Asean Mountainbike Cup.
