Councilor Fernandez marries for second time in Talisay

Former Talisay City mayor and now City Councilor Soc Fernandez married for the second time, two years after his first wife died. The councilor exchanged vows with Mona Dapat in a church wedding at the Our Lady of Consolation Church in Laray, Talisay City.

Among those invited were Rep. Samsam Gullas of Cebu’s 1st district, former congressman Eduardo Gullas and a few Talisay City councilors.

The elder Gullas wished the couple happiness.

The former mayor said he had been lonely since his wife died two years ago and he quoted the Bible verse “lucky is the man who finds a wife” to describe how he felt after getting married the second time.
