CEBU CITY, Philippines— A year after being left to die on the streets of Cebu, one stray puppy is enjoying life in her forever home in, Lapu-Lapu City.

It can be remembered that June of last year, CDN Digital featured three stray puppies abandoned on the street and was rescued by a netizen and asked for help online.

Now, a year after going viral online, Koko, one of the three abandoned puppies, is all grown up now and is happily living with her owner John Marvin Lumauag.

According to Lumauag, he knew about the cases of the stray puppies online and immediately offered help and adopt the puppies.

“I was willing to adopt all three but sadly the other two puppies were too weak and died eventually. Good thing, Koko remained healthy and up to know she is in good condition,” said Lumauag.

Lumauag who is a former OFW said that Koko had brought so much joy in their lives.

“He is very friendly and loves to be around children. Every afternoon I let her play outside with the kids from our area,” he said.

Since they adopted Koko she was also able to travel with them in their hometown in Mindanao.

Lumauag hopes that more people will fall in love with adopting rescue animals rather than buying only those with the breed.

“People should adopt regardless of breed whether they are Aspins or with the imported breed. They offer the same kind of affection for the people they love,” he added.
