A 49-year old massage therapist died when a motorcycle he drove collided with another motorcycle driven by a police officer in San Remigio town, northern Cebu at past 10 pm last Tuesday.
Ruperto Tudlasan was declared dead on arrival at the Cebu Provincial Hospital in Bogo City while an injured PO3 Dante Teano was transferred to a Cebu City hospital.
The two drove in opposite directions along the national highway. Teano tried to avoid a parked pick-up truck while heading to San Remigio proper. But he didn’t notice Tudlasan approaching after making the turn.
Tudlasan’s motorcycle headlamp wasn’t turned on, according to witnesses.
Tudlasan’s remains were brought to the Northerner Funeral Homes in Bogo City. His family has not yet signified their intention to file a case./ Palompon Institute of Technology Intern, Kristal Eduyan
