DBTC blanks USC in Aboitiz football

THE DON BOSCO Technology Center (DBTC) Greywolves trounced rival school University of San Carlos (USC), 3-0, in the 23-Under division of the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

The Greywolves logged the victory behind goals from Paul Ogar and Christopher Ngwuta.

Ogar made DBTC’s first goal in the 15th minute of the second half while Ngwuta scored two goals, one in the 25th minute and the other in the last 10 minutes of the game.

University of the Visayas (UV), meanwhile, walked away with an easy 3-0 victory via forfeiture over the Continental AFS in the same division.

In the men’s open, the Avengers outplayed Cebu Amateurs Football Club (CAFC), 1-0, while San Roque Rehab FC beat Magone FC, 5-1.

USC defeated Accenture, 5-0, while Lexmark scored a victory over NCR, 1-0 in the Ladies BPO. In the Men’s BPO division, Eperformax edged XLibris, 3-1, while Convergys and NCR settled for a scoreless draw. Accenture’s men’s team won over Innodata, 1-0, while Stream FC and Lexmark settled for a 2-2 draw.

In the 38-above men’s competition, JEH United overwhelmed Hipodromo FC, 6-0, while Hiroshi FC and KN Ferraren FC finished with a 1-1 draw.

In the lone 11-under match yesterday, Guisseppe FC clinched an easy 3-0 victory over SAIS FC via forfeiture.
