KENYAN Isaac Simat and Christy Sevilleno Tutor captured the men’s and women’s 10K title, respectively, in the inaugural Energen Family Run Cebu Leg yesterday at the Parkmall in Mandaue City.
Simat crossed the finish line in 33:39 to win the men’s title while Tutor bagged the women’s crown with a time of 45:56.
Abraham Missos won the 5k race with a time of 17:35 while Mylen Conde ruled the distaff side with a time of 27:38.
University of Cebu’s (UC) Edzel John Ardiente, meanwhile, emerged the fastest in the 3k race after clocking 10:31. Sarales Quizon joined Ardiente in the podium cloking 13:54 for the women’s title.
The run attracted over 1,400 runners and was organized by Leadpack. Proceeds of the run will be donated to the Child Protection Unit Network and to the Department of Health (DOH).
