CEBU CITY, Philippines— A high-value target was nabbed by the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pahina Central here early Tuesday morning, December 15, 2020.

The suspect was identified by police as 37-year-old Angelo Torrecampo Jumao-as, who is from Panganiban Street in the same village.

Confiscated from Jumao-as was 80 grams of suspected illegal drugs which has a dangerous drug board value of P544,000.

According to authorities, Jumao-as was already arrested last August 2018 for violation of Section five and eleven of the RA 9165, which is the possession and selling of illegal drugs. He was released in September 2019 through a plea bargain.

He worked as a laborer in Carbon for years before he was arrested again on Tuesday.

Authorities said Jumao-as is able to dispose of 100 grams to 200 grams of illegal drugs per week in the Carbon area.

Jumao-as told authorities that his source of illegal drugs comes from a drug personality inside the Cebu City Jail.
