MANILA, Philippines — EJ Obiena was at it again with another pole vault gold in Germany on Sunday night.

The Tokyo Olympian delivered a second consecutive golden performance after clearing 5.68 meters in the PSD Bank Indoor Meeting in Dortmund, Germany.

Obiena edged hometown bet Oleg Zernikel on the second attempt to clinch the gold after they both tallied 5.65 meters on their first try.

Germany’s Torben Blech settled for bronze after he registered 5.65m on his third attempt.

Obiena’s latest feat came just two days after he topped the ISTAF Indoor Meet in Berlin where he set a new national record with 5.80 meters.

The 25-year-old Obiena is one of four Filipinos who have booked a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics along with boxers Eumir Marcial and Irish Magno and gymnast Carlos Yulo.
