CEBU CITY, Philippines – At least seven individuals, including two girls, were injured in a vehicular accident at the southbound lane of the Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) at around 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 7.

Rescuers from the cities of Cebu and Talisay provided first aid treatment to those injured before transporting them to the hospital.

Traffic investigators in Talisay City are yet to investigate the incident as of this writing.

Camilo Sukib, the driver of the multicab, said that he was travelling to transport passengers from Barangay Talamban in Cebu City to Sibonga town in southern Cebu when the pickup driven by Warlito Gonzales allegedly blocked his way.

But Gonzales said it was Sukib who was at fault.

He said that the multicab driver “kept on changing lanes” during the travel which caused the accident. The multicab fell on one side.

Gonzales said he and his passengers came from their workplace in Mandaue City and were on their way home to Aloguinsan town, where their head office is also located. / dcb
