The defending champions Aegis Vipers banked on a crippling second quarter run to dispose of the upset-conscious Teleperformance Kings, 63-43, last Sunday in the 10th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSCC) E-League for Basketball at the CSCC Gym.

Down by a point after one quarter of play, 21-22, Aegis held Teleperformance to just one point in the second period while scoring 11 to seize control, 33-22.

Aegis was in control from that point on en route to tallying its sixth win in seven games to grab the number one spot in the Division 1 standings.

Ryan Veloso paced the Vipers with 12 points, while Rodulfo Enterina III added 10. Rnyl Joey Cagas had 10 points for the Kings, who dropped to 2-2 (win-loss).

The Job Target Bandits, meanwhile, snapped a four-game slide to finally barge into the win column, beating the Calltek Trojans, 46-42.

Andrew Joseph Isobal and Mark Matidios keyed Job Target’s much-needed win by combining for 27 points, 16 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and two steals.

Creating a three-way tie at second place in Division 1 were the Lexmark Stallions, who dominated the 1&1 Marauders, 84-51.

Niel Tiempo coughed up 20 points as the Stallions tied the Convergys-1 Wolves and Accenture Sharks at second spot with identical 4-1 records.

In the lone Division 2 game, the Xerox Knights logged their third victory by blasting the Microsourcing Bullies, 69-47.
