IT WAS supposed to be their toughest test but the Convergys-2 Blue Devils made it looked like just an ordinary game as they easily defeated the ePerformax Reds, 75-57, in a battle between unbeaten teams in Division 2 of the 10th City Sports Club Cebu (CSCC) E-League for Basketball at the CSCC Gym.
With their fifth straight win, Convergys-2 is the only unbeaten team left in the tournament.
The Blue Devils leaned on the superb performances of Clifford Amarado and Sherwin Resilla, who fired 21 and 18 points, respectively.
Joey Mari De Guzman and Robert Gilo each scored 10 points for the Reds, who tasted their first loss after five games.
The SSI Warriors, meanwhile, earned a piece of third place in Division 2 after they trounced the Xerox Knights, 76-69.
In Division 1, the Accenture Sharks tripped the Telstra Boomerangs, 64-55, while the Supportsave Dragons dumped the Job Target Bandits, 74-58.
