2GO Maligaya: Safer, fun way to travel at sea

By: - June 06, 2021

The Philippines’ largest premier sea travel provider — 2GO Travel is going above and beyond as they reinvent a safer and more fun way of traveling at sea through their new MV 2GO Maligaya.

Maligaya is currently the country’s largest and fastest, state-of-the-art passenger vessel in the company’s growing fleet.

Maligaya, who docked at Cebu from her successful maiden voyage from Manila, was greeted by members of the press, as she makes her stop before heading to Cagayan de Oro the day after.

Passengers can enjoy cruise-ship like amenities such as private hotel room accommodations, a grand lobby, spacious lounging areas and restaurants.

Welcoming her arrival was also Shalimar Tamano, Department of Tourism in Central Visayas (DOT-7) director, who described Maligaya’s arrival as a repeat in history.

“All roads lead to Cebu… Cebu is a maritime hub which you can compare to Singapore or Hong Kong,” Tamano.

“What leads people to Cebu is not only the infrastructure that we have, or the business acumen of Cebuanos. It’s also because of our heritage and culture. The room for investments is limitless and the room for travel investments is limitless as well,” he added.

2GO Maligaya will be traveling on a Manila-Cebu-Cagayan de Oro route twice a week, leaving Manila every Wednesdays and Sundays.

Passengers can enjoy cruise-ship-like amenities such as private hotel room accommodations, a grand lobby, spacious lounging areas, and restaurants.
