Summer dancesport camp set from April 10 to 13

AFTER two successive successful international campaigns, members of the DanceSport Team Cebu City will now focus on sharing their talents and abilities in the 3rd Summer “Dancesports Dance Camp Cebu 2014” on April 10 to 13 at the Mountain View Nature’s Park in barangay Busay, Cebu City.

The dance camp, which will feature some of the Philippines’ finest nationally and internationally acclaimed teachers and coaches, is open to all students, schools and physical education teachers, amateurs and social dancers and dance enthusiasts (beginners, intermediate, advanced and competitive). It will be held for four days and three nights.

Dance lessons in Latin American, Modern Standard and just plain social ballroom dancing will be taught to the participants.

Among those expected to share their dancing skills and abilities are the recent winners of the Grade A 5 Dance Latin in the Open Youth Division of the prestigious 68th Australian DanceSport Championship at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Australia, Wilbert Fajardo Aunzo and his partner Pearl Marie Cañeda, and the Cebuano ballroom dancers who snared seven gold medals in the Asian Dance Sports Council’s 21st International Dance Teachers Association’s IDTA Cup at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong last Dec. 1.
