Inmate faces raps for drug possession

August 13,2014 - 03:09 PM

An inmate of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center faces charge of illegal drug possession after jail guards found two small packs of shabu in his possession.

Norlin Suico had shabu placed in between two pieces of torta (cake snack) after returning from a court hearing in Branch 26, Argao town in southern Cebu yesterday afternoon.

Suico is now placed in isolation while waiting for the filing of charges. Six jail guards were previously linked to the drug trade inside the jail after a pusher named Jocelyn Correa and a helper were arrested last month.

Correa and the helper told police they got their supply of illegal drugs from her brother, a CPDRC inmate./ Victor Anthony Silva, Correspondent
