A 74-YEAR-OLD woman was hacked in the head by his 40-year-old son in barangay Media Onse, Toledo City.
Caridad Mananay was brought to a hospital where she is already in stable condition, police said.
The suspect, Cerelino, was arrested shortly after the incident, police said.
Police said Caridad had just arrived home after doing the laundry Wednesday morning when her son confronted her.
The son was irked that there was no food for breakfast. The mother tried to calm her son down but was instead attacked with a bolo.
