AROUND a hundred of Cebu’s best wood pushers will clash in today’s Second Strike Open Chess Tournament of the Four Central Squares chess group at the Robinson’s Cybergate.
The two-day tournament that offers 14-below and open divisions will be rated by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) and will use a seven-round Swiss system format with a game point scoring system and 25-minute time.
Registration fee is pegged at P150 for the kiddies and P200 for the open category.
The open division champion will receive P4,000 while P3,000 will go to the kiddies division winner.
