Cindy Obeñita off to Egypt for Miss Intercontinental 2021 pageant

CEBU, Philippines — Cinderella Faye Obeñita left on Wednesday, October 13, for Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt to represent the country in the Miss Intercontinental 2021 pageant.

Obeñit’a trip was scheduled more than two weeks ahead of the coronation night that is scheduled on October 30.

“PHILIPPINES, we are flying to the ancient cradle of civilization —- Egypt!” she wrote in an Instagram post. 

The beauty queen is eyeing another Miss Intercontinental crown for the country.

In 2019, Miss Intercontinental Ph Emma Mary Tiglao finished the competition in the Top 20.

Filipino-Australian Karen Gallman was the first Filipina to win the Miss Intercontinental pageant in 2018. 

“Join me in prayer as we give our best to win the second @missintercontinentalofficial crown.

“Thank you to EVERYONE behind me! Your names are embossed in my heart! 🇵🇭❤️” Obeñita wrote.

Last July 11, the 25-year old beauty queen from Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental won the Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2021 crown which gave her the chance to represent the country in the international pageant. / dcb
